What an amazing property. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s a very secluded area that was quiet and restful. What the pictures don’t show is that the creek is only twenty yards from the screened-in porch. We were able to hear the water flowing for our entire stay. Hope and Eric were gracious hosts. They provided us the privacy that we desired, but were very attentive to any needs that we made known. They resupplied us with fresh linens, firewood and all we needed without being asked. They were very attentive to the one issue we had over the weekend. They fixed it immediately. The animals were very friendly even though the dog couldn’t hear too well. Hope and Eric provided us with opportunities to feed the calves and watch the adults being milked. We even got to collect eggs from the henhouse. It was a very entertaining experience. One comment that I have is that the upstairs sleeping loft is probably not meant for adults. The ceiling is pitched and only about three feet high at the top and about six inches high at the end of the beds. This wouldn’t be a big deal if you only intended to have kids sleep up there. The bathroom facilities were great. We were provided with more than enough towels and wash clothes. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils one could imagine needing. There was first-aid equipment in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Overall, this was an excellent trip. We will be coming back because of the location and the warmth and attentiveness of the host. Thank you so much Hope and Eric. You made our stay one of the best family vacations that we have ever had.

We had a wonderful time at the guest house! The house was wonderful with many fun as well as practical details. The creek access was awesome and probably the highlight of our entire trip. We enjoyed lots of fishing, kiyaking, and swimming and then relaxed at night in the hot tub. We hope to come back soon!

We can’t express enough what a great stay we had. As the week went on, it became harder to leave for our planned day trips. In fact the last morning it was difficult knowing we were headed back to the responsibilities of home and work. Normally we don’t travel back to places we have been. There are so many places to see, so little time. However, we look forward to the opportunity to visit again. Thank you for being so welcoming!

What an amazing weekend! I’m not sure that words can describe how lovely, cozy, well-appointed, and restorative this cabin and property are. I could have stayed forever! My two nights seems like seven, and I went home so very well rested. The sound of water rolling by, hammock, porch swing, screened in porch, cozy blankets for fireplace reading, lovely Christmas decorations, cozy bed, hot tub, and well-appointed kitchen were all just perfect. They even have house plants! Perhaps the highlights for me were the shower and the hosts themselves. That shower… Oh my gosh! Something just magical about that shower. Hope and Eric were lovely from the time of booking, for my late arrival, through my stay and after my departure. These are just two good souls. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing place to get away from it all and be as active or inactive as you want and really let the stresses of everyday life soak away, this is your place. Don’t hesitate in allowing them to share a little slice of their heaven with you. You won’t regret it!

This cabin felt like home. The Brights have created a relaxing and homey atmosphere with this cabin. We enjoyed all of the amenities of this property including relaxing by the creek, reading on the porch, ample yard, board, and card games, and getting to experience a little bit of life on the farm. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had a great experience and would recommend this property without reservation. We hope to return some time soon. The property was exactly as described. It was clean and comfortable. We packed too much as nearly everything we needed was provided. My wife was particularly happy with the well outfitted kitchen. We had fresh dairy milk and eggs and good coffee. Eric and Hope were great hosts. They are the kind of people you want for friends. When we arrived, they met us right away and showed us how everything worked. They were available if we needed them, but not invasive at all. All their recommendations were solid. There were about 30 games in the cabin and we enjoyed Settlers of Catan and Outburst. We also enjoyed roasting hot dogs, making smores, and kayaking down Swan Creek. The beds were comfortable. The local grocery store in Forsyth was more than adequate for our needs–they even had Blue Bell Ice Cream. Branson is beautiful 25 minute drive away and we spent one fun day there.

Hope and Eric’s cabin is charming and relaxing. It is in a secluded location on their farm and is next to a creek that we could hear rushing by. The cabin was decorated for Christmas and since it rained the entire we were there we stayed in and relaxed by the fire and in the hot tub. We had everything we needed and Eric checked on us everyday. I received some much needed refreshment while I was there. It was a great experience. Thank you Hope and Eric for your warm hospitality and for mailing my makeup I left in such a timely manner. It was a blessing staying in your cabin. I am looking forward to our next visit!

Hope and Eric got it right. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the evenings while still taking in some of what Branson has to offer. The setting is picture book worthy and was a walk back in time for a couple farm kids. Couldn’t ask for better hosts. And thumbs was a hoot!

This property was beyond our expectations and we will be back.. Eric and Hope, the couple who own this property, go above and beyond to make sure your experience is perfect. They allowed us to bring in a blow up bed to accommodate an extra guest. Every detail of the cabin has been thoroughly thought of and provided. You want for nothing. The things we thought “Of I wish I would have brought…” was there. Spices in the kitchen, an extra toothbrush, toothpaste and floss in the medicine cabinet as well as band-aids! Everything you would expect from a home and more. It was clean, homey…and quiet. We sat on the screened in porch in the mornings and drank our morning coffee and listened to the creek. There is an enclosed outside shower with hot water that is amazing; a MUST during the stay! The creek was cold but it didn’t stop the kids from exploring and then they went down the path for fishing. If you sit on the other porch, you can look at the animals.. There is a hammock for two that is in a perfect spot. I read through several of the books in the cabin (about country living, small homes) and fell asleep in the breeze. Our twelve year old loved “Thumbs” the cat who fell asleep in his lap in the hammock. We also enjoyed the frequent visits from “Corey” the dog. The living room has a big picture window with wooden rocking chairs in which you can sit and look at the birds with the binoculars and identify the birds using the bird book… yes all provided on the window ledge for your use. As evening approached, we helped milk the cows, fed the baby calves with a bottle, and collect the eggs from the chickens and turkeys! This is optional, but why not help and experience it? The kids (and adults) loved it! After dark, we went to the fire ring for S mores (of course, provided again by the owners) and the evening ended in the hot tub. Our family ranged from 12 years old to 66 years old and we are look forward to booking again. Thanks Eric and Hope for the memories!
