The Cabin Property

With private access to 1/4 mi of Swan Creek, only 30 minutes to Branson and Silver Dollar City, this cabin is a hidden gem. Dine in the screen porch and listen to the water and wildlife. Fishing, canoeing and wading are right out your back door with private access.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and coffee (French press or drip), blender, plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. The country harvest table is a welcoming place to gather for meals as well as a variety of board games provided for your enjoyment.

The centrally located living room is heated with a beautiful thermostatically controlled pellet stove situated on an old stone hearth offering plenty of cozy atmosphere and warmth.

The master bedroom has two beds, a queen and twin, with cotton sheets and memory foam pillows . Open the old European style windows for fresh country air or use the A/C if you prefer. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub on the covered porch located through the French doors just outside the master bedroom.

Additional space is located in the sleeping loft, overlooking the living room. Two twin beds provide accommodations for additional guests. A dormer window makes for a quaint reading nook looking out to the creek.

The bathroom includes a large brick and glass block walk-in shower, toilet and antique vanity. Plenty of towels and handmade soaps are within reach.

For an authentic Ozark experience, a private refreshing outdoor shower is provided as well as a designer outhouse.

A complete laundry room is open to our guests. Bring your own detergent of choice.

12 Stones Guest Farm is a place to get away from the overwhelming world of electronics and chaos . We purposefully do not have a television or internet. We encourage our guests to take advantage of the beauty and serenity God has provided right outside the door of the cabin. Cell phone service is available.

A campfire ring (firewood included) and benches , picnic table and gas grill are all there. Look for the complementary S'more supply basket in the kitchen. No city lights will encumber your view of the stars and no traffic noise will eclipse the nightly sounds of owls and bullfrogs.

Don't forget to check out the outdoor game box located on the screen porch: Croquet, Frisbee, horseshoes, football, and bocce ball just to name a few. Then relax in the hammock or porch swing with a book about homesteading or small farming available from the bookshelf in the cabin. You can even take the lawn chairs to the creek and cool your toes!

Guest Access

Guests are welcome to participate in the daily farm chores such as milk the cow, feed calves, tend the chickens, collect the eggs, work in the garden or whatever is happening seasonally. You are also welcome to go for a hike down the historic stagecoach road that follows the creek. Full, private access to the creek for swimming, canoeing, kayaking (best in the spring) or fishing is also available.

Interaction with guests

Though only 35 acres, it is still a working farm with milk cows, beef steers, free range chickens, turkeys, gardens, an orchard and more. Your hosts have daily chores and welcome your participation. Our residence is also located on the property but far enough away that it does not intrude on your privacy. We are available to answer any questions and assist you in any way that would make your stay more memorable or comfortable.

The Neighborhood

We have wonderful, friendly, rural neighbors who cherish their privacy as much as we cherish ours. We are located at the end of a paved road with all season access.

Getting Around

Gas, groceries and basic needs are just 15 minutes away in Forsyth. Only 30 minutes to Branson for shopping, shows and entertainment. Easy access to Silver Dollar City, Bull Shoals Lake, Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo. College of the Ozarks should also be on your list of places to see, located 30 minutes away in Hollister.

House Rules

Absolutely NO smoking and no pets on the property. If we assess there has been smoking on any part of the property, a $100 charge will be applied from the damage deposit. Our poultry are free range and the cattle are rotationally grazed with electric fence. Our livestock will be comfortable with your presence, but are not considered pets. They provide us with fresh milk, eggs and meat. Please, no unregistered guests unless pre-approved by hosts. Children age three and under no charge, but please consult us concerning their sleeping arrangements.
